When we moved to the Island we wanted to enjoy family time whilst also earning an income so we decided to run our home as a bed and breakfast. We successfully traded for many years with visitors returning year after year to enjoy our hospitality. When we decided to retire we stopped advertising the business and have recently obtained permission from the Isle of Wight Council to change the use from B & B to a residential dwelling. The business will still need to be de-registered but this can be done very easily and then the property can be lived in by anyone seeking a large multi generational home close to the sea. We have thoroughly enjoyed our time here but the property is just too big for us now, so its time to move to something more manageable.
